Biography:
Julie-Anne Carroll, PhD, is a Lecturer of Gender Equity, Social Determinants of health, and Sociology and health in the School of Public Health & Social Work, Queensland University of Technology. Interested in the influence of social, cultural, and geographic spaces over lifestyle and health, her PhD investigated how place of residence acts as a social determinant of health, and influence on health inequality. Passionate about innovating strategies to reduce inequalities globally, her work has involved acting as a PI on this project and its subsidiaries, and extensive work on m-health app development and GIS tracking for diagnosis and behaviour change.
