Biography:
Dr. Kyrtania Pather, a dedicated researcher and educator with a PhD in cancer cell biology, completed in 2020. She is the course coordinator and curriculum developer for Health Systems Sciences 3 at Wits University. As the Principal Investigator of an NRF Thuthuka funded project on Long COVID in primary health care settings, Dr. Pather is pioneering research to develop a standard model of care in South Africa. Her expertise spans cancer research, cell biology, and public health, focusing on improving clinical outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches. Her work has been published in high-impact journals and shared at local and international conferences.
