Biography:
Dr Maureen Akolo is a Public Health specialist with a PhD and master’s degrees in public health. She has 18 years’ experience of HIV/STI research among key populations including female sex workers, Male Sex Workers, Men who have Sex with Men and Transgender community. She is a HIV vaccine research mentor for International AIDS society and a member of several HIV committee, including Association of Nurses in AIDS Care (ANAC). Currently Maureen is a faculty -senior lecturer at Aga Khan University-School of Nursing and Midwifery in Nairobi Kenya, clinical services manager at a HIV/STI research center and visiting lecturer to several universities in Kenya.
