Maya Polevoi

Biography:

Maya Polevoi is third year medical student at the Max Rady College of Medicine in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Maya has a growing interest in the intersectionality of infectious diseases, mental health, and population health. Her research focuses on sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections among people living with HIV, with an emphasis on population-level trends and health outcomes. She is interested in exploring how social and behavioural factors influence health trajectories and in contributing to evidence-based approaches that improve patient care and public health interventions.
