Biography:
Dr. Nikita Thomas completed MBBS from Saveetha University Medical College, Tamil Nadu, India and went on to work with National Rural Health Mission a Government of India initiative to bring quality healthcare to the rural households and she has also worked as an Immunisation medical officer for the National Polio Immunisation Program and was also assigned to the team selected to tackle the diphtheria outbreak in the southern state of Kerala, India in 2016-17. She is currently doing final year Internal Medicine residency (IMT,MRCP United Kingdom) in Aster MedCity, Cochin, India. During her residency she published several papers, completed a Quality Improvement project on Pneumococcal and Influenza vaccines in Heart failure patients. She has also made several presentations at various conferences in India and an International paper at Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Annual Conference.
