Biography:
I am a 5th year Integrated PhD student from Prof. Dipshikha Chakravortty's lab, Indian Institute of Science. I secured an AIR 1 in IIT-JAM 2022 and got admission into this institute. I graduated from St. Xavier's College (Autonomous) Kolkata in Microbiology honors. I am specially interested in the field of sustainable strategies to tackle AMR and hospital borne secondary infections.
Currently I am working on the novel alternative therapeutic strategies against the nosocomial infections caused by ESKAPE pathogens. We are elucidating the role of neutral pH high strength plasma activated water against the ESKAPE pathogens. Previous literature majorly highlights about the antimicrobial role of acidic pH plasma activated water. Our group has successfully generated the activated water at neutral pH maintaining the high concentration of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species which can be used in the biomedical inductry to tackle the real life scenarios.
