Title : Report of 47 clinical cases of dogs with Viral disease (Parvovirus and canine distemper.), Treated with silver nanoparticles, at the BioFauna Veterinary Polyclinic in Acámbaro Guanajuato, Mexico.
Abstract:
The report is presented of 47 cases of animals (dogs), treated at the BioFauna veterinary polyclinic, diagnosed 100% with viral disease, 26 patients (55.31%) were diagnosed with distemper and 21 of the animals (44.68%) were diagnosed parvovirosis, in 42 of the cases the diagnosis was reached by means of a rapid test, which represented a total of 89.36%, being in all cases positive for one or another disease and 10.63% were not run the rapid test, this is a total of 5 patients, who were treated with silver nanoparticles, in the cases that the owners allowed and paid for, a hemogram and C-reactive protein test were also performed at the beginning, at three days and seven days to monitor their progress. were, in 10 of the cases the C-Reactive Protein test was obtained (21.27%), in (14.28%), which represents 6 cases, a hemogram was performed.
41 of the treated patients (87.23%) survived and 6 (12.7%) died.
The statistics of the values ??obtained are presented, the patients who underwent a blood count, as well as the C-reactive protein test, and the results obtained are discussed. It is also discussed about the patients who were treated with antibiotics together with nanoparticles and dewormers.
He discussed the survival results with another study conducted to treat distemper using silver nanoparticles.
The age range of the patients is also presented and it is analyzed whether this variant impacts survival.
