Despite their significant impact on global health, tropical and neglected tropical diseases often receive insufficient attention due to their prevalence in impoverished regions. These diseases, such as lymphatic filariasis, onchocerciasis, and Chagas disease, thrive in areas with poor living conditions, inadequate healthcare, and limited access to preventive measures. Many of these diseases can be controlled or even eliminated with appropriate interventions, such as mass drug administration and vector control. However, the stigma surrounding these diseases and the lack of financial investment in research and treatment remain major barriers. Efforts to combat tropical and neglected tropical diseases focus on strengthening healthcare infrastructure, enhancing global partnerships, and ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the necessary care and support.
